I bought this due to unavailability of the T150 or T300 by Thrustmaster. I wasn't sure I'd want to spend more than $100 to try sim racing (I'm a die hard F1 fan) so I bought this to give it a try. Holy crap it's fun. Unbelievably fun. I tried a crap HORI racing wheel first that I immediately returned, and the belt drive on this felt WAY better. Super smooth and way better feeling at the wheel. I've since decided to return it and upgrade to the T300 for the force feedback. While this was kind of a "proof of concept" purchase, it's been great for $100. Also, the pedal board is full size and very solid. Everything feels well built and not just cheap plastic. I'd highly recommend for a first foray into a sim racing wheel.

Before I review the product I just wanna say this has NO FORCE FEEDBACK (go find a different steering wheel if you want to now) this will more than likely be a turn off for people but for those who are like me and have no means of trying to become the next Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel. I was looking for a steering wheel that was first off the right price ($66 when I purchased it) and secondly has the features that most steering wheels should have. The Thrustmaster T80 Ferrari 488 GTB Edition Racing Wheel for the PS4 met those requirements which led me to my purchase of the steering wheel and GT Sport (might review later as this game has very up and down reviews).

OVERVIEW:
Overall the steering wheel feels great, it has paddle shifters, controller buttons, directional arrows, options and share button, etc. The housing of the steering wheel is hard plastic but what do you expect at $100 original price. The clamp for the steering wheel I thought looked clunky at first but then I tried it out and it works pretty good, it clamps onto my Ikea desk that has a thickness of about 1-2 inches effortlessly. I am sorry to say but I do not know what thickness it will and will not clamp too but I figured the product page or customer questions should have that somewhere. As stated above there is no force feedback so it is powered via a "bungie cord" mechanism which feels great. As long as you are not viciously counter steering or just turning, the mechanism should last for a while. The pedal has a throttle and a brake both are quite tight and not too realistic feeling which I will go into more details below (including the steering wheel). In the end the Thrustmaster T80 Ferrari 488 GTB Edition Racing Wheel for the PS4 met my expectations and has satisfied me so far. If you are someone who just wants to enjoy a racing game with a steering wheel whether its GT, NFS, Forza (there is an Xbox version of the steering wheel), Project Cars, Asseto Rossa, etc this is the best bang for the buck at around $60, at the original price of $100 I would rather go up a tier and spend usually around $30-50 more on the Thrustmaster T150/pro or spend double the price and occasionally see the Logitech G29 on sale for $200 and these two will come with force feedback.

STEERING WHEEL:
I repeat there is NO FORCE FEEDBACK if you missed it the first this is your last chance to find the other two products that I listed. The diameter of the wheel is around 8 inches so it is not a full size steering wheel. It has a turning radius of 270 degrees which should be more than enough for just racing. Has all the standard controls (X,O, square, triangle, L2, R2, start/options and share, directional buttons, and two buttons behind L2 and R2 which could be L3 and R3?) on the face for operation without a controller and has paddle shifters. The little red knob that has a red light when plugged in is the start/options and share button, I believe up is start/options and down is to share. The clamp was wonky at first glance but exceeded expectations when used. As I mentioned I don't know the exact measurements of thickness for fit of the clamp I apologize for that. Overall I like the steering wheel and feels sturdy for the price I got it at.

PEDALS:
So this is where I did not like the product at all, I mean its bearable because I drive with two feet anyways but for those who don't will need to hold it with the other foot. Why do you need to do this? because mainly the brakes although the throttle is a little tough, the brakes just have way too much tension and require a good amount of force for full engagement. The throttle was a little tough but that is slowly getting broken into whereas the brakes just seem to not care about your foot and stay solid even after 30 hrs of use (yes I know that isn't much but I can tell the throttle is getting softer). The angle at which the pedals are positioned are too much unless you have them mounted onto a stand. I have mine just on the ground and I think they are angled too much for that location. Some people say the pedals are too close to each other but I don't think so and I wear shoe sizes of 9-10 just for reference, unless you have Shaq feet I can see this being a problem. Overall the pedals can and should be better but I am sure that is how they force you to buy the better pedals with the clutch which will ultimately make you want to upgrade your steering wheel too.

I got my PS5 and a driving rig, so was super excited to put everything together to play. It is great as a mediocre gear for its price point. So far great, it is for Gran Turismo. But definitely not for F1 and similar. Probably used this as a 2nd one or resell it as I want an upgrade.

This was so easy to setup and it was working good and it also worked with need for speed heat but I never tried forza 5 but everything is good

The shipping took about an extra 3 days to arrive, and switched providers many times which confused me many times however the wheel is great. I got the open box one which was like new for 85 dollars, and the wheel is perfectly conditioned. I wish I could say the same for the box, it is barely usable however I do not mind the box very much. The wheel has no force feedback and no vibration which keeps the gameplay raw but the wheel is very responsive and looks great. Pedals are adjustable and well tuned out of the box. Definetley recommend. I use this for forza horizon 4 ( to set up press controls while in game, plug in the wheel and click wheel, if nothing comes up click the PlayStation button on the wheel and it should allow you to bind keys. Works great

I've been using this steering wheel for about a month. I am glad that I purchased this item on sale for less than $100. I got to say, it is not worth the price even on sale. The steering wheel is not compatible with almost any game, you have to manually set up the keys and everything if you want to use it for race sims. The steering wheel does not have any type of force feedback, just a little bit of resistance and not even vibration. Besides the issues with the wheel, the pedals are very uncomfortable, extremely small and lay completely flat on the surface which makes it even more uncomfortable if you are using it for sim racing.

I got this steering wheel set because I was low on budget but honestly, may humble opinion, save the money and get a better and real steering wheel for sim racing.

Games I've tested and used the steering wheel with:
iRacing (Acceptable performance)
F1 2021 (Acceptable performance after lots of settings tweaking)
rFactor2 (Almost unplayable, hard to set up)

You get what you should expect. I've tried a few games on PS4 and found that games like the Crew don't work very well. It feels very floaty considering its a Bungee Cord and not Force Feed Back. I have tried it with games like Forza on PC, American Truck Sim and Grand theft auto 5. And found it very enjoyable.

The steering wheel itself feels good, no creeks or noise from it. The stiffness of the Bungee Cord feels great considering my old one had none and was very light feeling. The clamp is helpful, it always you to put as much pressure needed on the wheel and it will stay in place. The buttons feel good but are a little bit stiff for a fast click while racing. Overall 7/10 on the wheel in my opinion.

The pedals are OK... They are plastic, and I definitely never want to slam my foot on the breaks or gas due to that.. But, the extra stiffness in the brake pedal is a great feeling, and the amount of stiffness on the acceleration pedal is perfect. There's no squeaking, but they do tend to slide around a little bit.

I would recommend this wheel to new comers looking to see if they enjoy PS4 OR PC games with a wheel. If your looking for a serious simulator wheel, this is not for you.

I bought this under the impression it was a force feedback racing wheel, but was in fact a bungee cord system. Overall, it does its job, and plays well with the titles I’ve used it on. If you are looking for a decent racing wheel, I’d recommend this.

Edit: The description on the page is for their T150 Pro. I mistook this information for the one that is for sale. As a result, I chose to return this. Probably just a mistake. The T80 is still a good wheel.

I would 10/10 not recommend this product to anyone. it doesn't work with most of the popular games out there making it a bust. On top of that I choose to buy the used version of amazon I trust them it will be ok, thats where I was so wrong. The package arrived on my door step pretty much in shreds and was held together by the will of god. I could see the product with out even needing to cut open the box. it looked like someone took it out of the box ran to box over, played with the steering wheel put it back in the box and then used 42 rolls of packing tape so it could be held together then threw it out the door. then threw it out the truck and on my steps. I am very disappointed in this product and would never recommend to anyone.
Edit- I returned this product just under a month ago and I only got my refund yesterday night. the product sat at the post office for days waiting for them to come get it. we had to email them on a daly to get my money back. it was so un cool of a business and I would never in a million years recommend this to anyone. Amazon always pulls through and does a great job. but this seller on amazon was a huge disappointment. they should be allowed to sell on amazon after treating customers like this. First sending a product in a box that has more holes then Swiss cheese and then after when trying to return the product making it very hard and delaying on and on. Never buy this product or from this seller on amazon.

It's true that it has no FFB, but if you want to get started with racing, waiting to save up enough money for a FFB wheel, or just don't play to often this is a great wheel.

The Bungie cord system is stronger than other non FFB wheels, the paddle shifters are made with from metal and have a nice click noise, and the wheel it self looks nice.

One complaint is that I don't feel like it's worth it at MSRP, as the T150 is $299 and this is $170, I assume alot of the hike in price is due to the Ferrari branding, which to admit looks nice.

But to conclude yes it's a an awesome non-FFB wheel, just not at MSRP in my opinion.

Si quieres tener la experiencia por primera vez para jugar juegos de carreras es un buen volante para hacerlo. Este modelo solo funciona con ps4 y parece que con ps5. Tiene dos modos, uno Arcade y otro para una experiencia más real. Esto se logra presionando a la vez un juego de botones cambiando la luz de rojo a verde para lograr la máxima sensibilidad. El volante es de calidad y elegante. Los pedales se sienten firmes y reales. El volante lo adapté a una pequeña mesa. Tuve que usar internet para buscar información de cómo montarlo en YouTube y aprender más ya que el instructivo no explica muy bien. En general buena compra. Hay que tomar en cuenta que quizá no todos los juegos de carreras sean compatibles para usar el volante pero aún así hay varios que si.
